What is MBBS?
MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) is a professional undergraduate medical degree that prepares students to become doctors. The course duration is 5.5 years, including 4.5 years of academic coursework and a one-year compulsory internship.
Eligibility for MBBS in India
To get admission into an MBBS course, students must:
Pass 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB), and English.
Obtain at least 50% marks in PCB (40% for reserved categories).
Be at least 17 years old by December 31 of the admission year.
Pass the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
